Please read the whole post ! 1996 Yamaha Vmax Bored & stroked to 1500cc & converted to chain drive. It has progressive front springs. The front brakes have been converted to Hayabusa the rear brakes have an underslung caliper.
The swingarm is extended 3 inches . The wheels are converted GSXR wheels . It has 39mm Flatside carbs . The bike made 174.9 hp & 118 TQ on the dyno. The motor has 10,000 miles since the bike was done by PCW racing.
The bad it is in the very early stages of 2nd gear failure. IF I was an ass & did not tell anyone you would probably not know for a ling time. It can be ridden all day & never miss a beat shifts perfect & stays in 2nd fine all the way up to red line. If you shift it harsh at around 9800 rpm you will feel like a tire chirp & that is it . It never jumps out of gear. It will also need tires. $ 4500 FIRM not interested in trades & please do not contact me offering a lower amount. I love the bike & don't mind keeping it.
I am sure I am forgetting some stuff to. I do not use messenger much & do not have it on my phone ! it is best to email [email protected] or call eight one three 270-0000

Just curious, did you have any issues with chain drive noises when you had the bike?
I just bought one with a chain drive conversion and it's making allot of noise and jumping around

Could just be an old chain but thought I'd ask someone who owned one.

Not wanting to be rude, but have you ever-owned a motorcycle before? That chain, as they say in the UK, is 'knackered!' Replace the chain and sprockets before you end-up with a busted engine case.
