This one is with an 8-valve head, not 16-valve. Another dude claims 1000hp on his build with the same engine, don't know if I believe that. There was a video of that Mk1 Ford Escort somewhere, will look if it's still available and link it here. Looked wild.

That car looks like it has horrible torque steer. (video)

Here's a car I saw recently which I'm more-likely to believe his claim of 1,000 HP. It has a Kong Engineering replacement, dig the size of that tubing! It lives in its own air-conditioned trailer.

Weight of the driver on the left, rain drain angle of the road surface sloping outside. Many things all together. Your suggestion. Combination of many things.

Thank you. I think there is money to be made there too. Your description "Fatboy Vmax" is exactly what I had in mind when I started building it.

Yes, it still has the original tank, somewhat modified though.

I used wet sand blasting on the engine and various other parts. After that, WD40 film everywhere and dry it.

I made the wheels myself, 3x19" front, 5,5x18" in the back. 180 rear tire without fork mods. Fits barely, doesn't rub.
Really like your build...
You said you built the wheels and I am curious about how and what that process involves...i would love to swap mine out and have radials. Can't find much available here in Toronto. Maybe I can find someone to help me but would appreciate any info you dont mind sharing. Enjoy your ride!!

Fox-bodies are increasing in value. I had three of 'em, more fun than a Z28 or a Trans-Am to drive, and I had several of those. That looks like a good project. Steeda is local to me, they did a lot of work with Fox bodies.
I've had this 82 GT since 89 it's been through a lot. So I decided to tear it down one last time and build it. I rebuild it the way I wanted it,I've gotten criticized about ruining a 4 eyed fox. About the only thing original is the shell and the dash. I've still got all the stock parts if I ever wanted to switch back, but this car won't ever go back there. It's been modded beyond no return.

Mr Armstrong, V-Max wheels are not easy because of the integrated design in them. Here's few photos.
wow....thats impressive work mister!!! totally out of my " WHEEL"house....I can build homes, commercial buildings or pretty much anything else. How many hours work go into those?

I didn't count the hours but I have to say that it was very labor intensive. It took a lot of time to copy all dimensions so all Vmax basic things (bearings, brakes, etc) fit like factory.
