IMG_7210.JPG IMG_7216.JPG IMG_E7219.JPG 1.JPG I am replacing bad 2nd gear, and taken out the middle gear. But I cannot find the special tools or adaptor show on the service manual. The adaptor supposed to release the tension on the nut on the middle gear. I found the guy made own adaptor but it way too big. Please let me know if there are any alternative idea or adaptor to remove the gears and springs.

This is what we do. Of course if you are getting a rebuilt trans from us and send yours in we do that work for you. But most machine shops should have the stuff necessary to get it pressed down and remove the retaining clips.

Ok, thanks. I will try to make an adopt or like yours. But the manual indicated to press down the bevel gear, not on the ball baering.

I always use two f-clamps, works just fine. Be sure to tighten them evenly to distribute the load.
