An enterprising fellow (Hess) made a 356-series Porsche engine power a hand-built motorcycle. I've seen the /2-series BMW's with the VW air-cooled flat-4 engine which was a build you would occasionally see in the 1970's. Probably more-agile than a Boss Hoss due to the lower center of gravity, even if it didn't have a SBC or a BBC powerplant.
Claimed top speed for this Porsche-powered bike was 151 mph. To me it appears that the donor bike was a late 1970's BMW, probably a R100RS. That's what the front end is from, it has the distinctive ATS brakes, and the 'snowflake' wheels before they went to Brembos in the early 1980's. I think the carbs are two pairs of 1-bbl Solexes.
