In 1985...I put up my first poster of what is now, the legendary V-Max. This became an obsession that would last 35 year's.

I went on to race in FIM Enduro WC, AMA Enduro, Hare Scrambles and even did the open wheel bit for bit....but no Max.

As an immigrant with dual citizenship, I had to go and serve in the military in Spain....5 years worth...but no Max.

When it was time for a career change....I was accepted in Cornell Medical and went straight into the Medical field....but no Max.

Now nearly 20 years in the field, married and loving life by helping and always trying to make a difference...I get Covid-19...and yup....still no Max.

I survived 26 days of hell and lost 45 pounds in the process...had three close calls, with the third preventing me from breathing and passing out unconscious in the guest bathroom. My wife, an Oncology/Trauma RN with 22 year's of experience heard my collapse out of bed and saved my life. It was at this moment where I said to myself..."if I survive this crap, I'm buying a V-Max!!!

Then I get a notification of the V-Max going out of production and the panic sets in. I located one 2.5 hours away and drove over as fast as I could.....yup...I have Max!!!

The bike that was once on my bedroom wall, 35 year's ago, is now being ridden home. I caught the most unimaginable traffic on the George Washington Bridge....and all I could do is smile.

It's now in my garage in CT and is parked next to my 996 HP Shelby Super Snake delete option GT500.

Before I go to bed....I look in the garage and think of the tremendous journey of getting Mr. Max home...and all I can do is smile as I reflect on the memories that got me here.

I will say....that Mr. Max and the Shelby aren't getting along and you can sometimes hear the insults being exchanged.

Feels good to be part of this community....long time coming and I'm appreciative for the opportunity.

Well earned and glad you finally rewarded yourself at it sounds like it was long overdue...although the Super Snake doesn't seem like a bad 'second choice' until you got the VMAX home.

You're gonna kick yourself for not making the move earlier. Absolute power corrupts abs...oh wait, you already know this...

Welcome!
