96 vmax rear fender removal....anyone ?

so i found these 3 bolts center left and right and a few underneath the fender for what i would call wiring chase or pre fender. surely this cant be all their is to removing the rear fender, dam i hope im right. If you know , let me know. esp if theres a how to or sticky...thanks. trying desperately to repaint this beast of a machine. its new qaulity paint but the design is 80s blue and yellow "water splash" theme. lets just say id rather it be getto rust colored. lol

Yep, just keep undoing stuff till it falls off

I was surprised to find mine was plastic.
 
3 Bolts and unplug the wiring will pull the whole assembly on the rear. On the front is 4 bolts on the bottom of the fork brace. On the 85-92 forks you can remove the fork brace, slide the whole thing back to the rear and remove. Then you can remove the fender from the brace. On the 93-07 forks you must remove the front wheel to access the fender to brace bolts then the fender comes off. Not enough room to slide it out the back.
