Ad box at the top of this web site??

I've got an empty ad box at the top of this website, when I click on properties I get this

Any one know what I need to do to get rid of it? I've already turned of any unknown tool bars and ran spybot and avg free and no luck.

you can try running rkill first and then your spyware/virus programs. rkill works by shutting down the spyware/virus process that may be blocking your program from finding it.

Also, you may be able to add it to your hosts file and your browser will direct the request to the garbage instead of the website.

There no ad at the top of this forum so it is something being generated from your pc. Try a different browser to see if it just in the browser cache.

It's my PC, figured out it isn't specific to the site, haven't gotten rid of it yet. I was going to do a restore but discovered the Dumbass in IT that gave me this new laptop two months ago had turned off the restore settings, I have no previous points to return to......at least not with my skill level:bang head:
