Hello all
this is my first post: need info on my 1985 vmax carbs, bike sat a few years so last fall I cleaned and rebuilt carbs and synced the carbs mechanically with a drill bit. bike fired excellent and ran good with just a off idle stumble so I added sea foam and put bike away for winter. when I fired it this summer it would only run with chock on, two aft cylinders dead unless I sprayed fuel into the throats. removed carbs from bike and found aft carb "air cutoff valves badly deformed torn and wet? I am sure I installed them carefully? can someone tell me what might have happened?

they where brand new and dry when I installed them, they appeared to be wet with gas when I removed them. I did spray carb cleaner into the passages at the top of the carbs. the two cut off valves on the front carbs are not affected.
