Good Evening guys. Anyone ever wired up a airshifter to there horn button with toggle so that they can go from horn to airshifter with a toggle. I'm starting to believe the horn system is different on a yamaha than a Kaw. Is there something I'm missing. Anyone have a wiring diagram or any help. Thanks in advance.

Not sure I follow your question.

An air shifter uses compressed air to operate. (clue's in the name)

I've not come across an air horn on a motorcycle, the vast majority are electric.

Is your question about switching the electrical supply or the air supply?

Unless the horn is an aftermarket air horn, (the one on a Vmax is electrical) I can't why you would want to divert the air supply.

Most "air shifters" are electric over air. Meaning there is an electrical trigger that then opens a solenoid allowing the air to flow to the shifter actuator. That same trigger will generally be accompanied with a kill box that cuts fire to the coils and takes the load of the trans long enough to shift before it comes back on (usually in milliseconds - typically 60-80).
You can wire in the horn button to do double duty where it triggers the shifter or with the switch back to normal then it activates the horn. This requires a relay to be added into the wiring.

That's what I'm trying to do. Wire the relay up. The instructions said that yamaha and honda use a different system. My instruction got wet so I can read them. Figured one of you guys could put it in layman's terms for me

I don't have the specifics of which way you need to wire it. Would suggest asking MPS or whoever you got your kit from. I've tied into the left switch housing when I did my conversion.

Here's the connector for the switch housing and an example of the coil connector (red/white is the common power). I also attached a number of other pics and a drawing I did some years back when I made a kit for another customer. Will attach more pics in the next reply (since they are limiting me to 10 per reply)
