All airbox covers (fake gas tank) the same?

I want to buy another air box cover to have a different paint job than the original (I want to keep my original). I see used ones on Ebay but some of them describe year periods less than 1985-2007. My bike is a 2007. Are they all the same or were there changes through out the years? If there were changes made, what is the oldest one that will fit a 2007?
