I am going to install a bar end mirror and was wondering how to take off the stock chrome bar ends? Do I just twist these off? I don't want to mangle anything? Thanks all

They are made of plastic and are press fitted on - just pull hell and they will come off.

yeah , they are on there !
I wrapped a piece of rubber bungy strap (the flat black ones) around it and twisted and pulled. It'll come, you just need to get a good grip. If your sure you don't want them any more, BF CL's work great.
