Battery?

Ran out of gas on highway (yet again). When I put gas back in, seemed like battery was very weak..engine barely turned and eventually did not turn. After about 30 min it did start up and died again a few miles later..started up again (right away) and finally got home. Is this a result of the gas starvation and what is the cause?

I checked voltage and R/R output (both OK).

I would check/clean grounds, starter relay and starter motor.

If both these are OK, I would suspect the battery. How old is it?

I would suspect connections are clean cause PCW cleaned everything before reassembly. Battery is Ody 680 and is only 2 or so Yrs old. Seems to be fine now..just took it out early. i just can't figure out why no gas would effect battery output after gas is put back in
