I have been drinking a bit of the locally (Michigan) brewed beer from Bell's Brewery. They have been doing a fine job of crafting a couple of my favorite tastes Two Hearted Ale (named after a river here in the U.P., Hemingway made the river famous) and the Kalamazoo Stout. Our local Brew Pub, Tahqamenon Falls Brewery/ Camp 33 make a nice Black Bear stout too, but you can only get it at the Pub, or take home in growlers. They need to market themselves more locally, I've been trying to get it into our Casino bars, but no luck on that so far.:confused2:

The one thing, in these dark times, that makes me able to face the next day.......And they are going to try to take it away from me.....

I will have to switch to a cheaper beer....:damn angry::bang head:
Man I`m sad to hear that,
Don`t they already gouge you guys for everything else and now the beer.
that just plain sucks.:damn angry::damn angry::damn angry:Maybe it`s time to move down here :confused2:
at least the beer is still reasonable:eusa_dance:

I would move east and north (Maine) before I went south or west.....

Hey, hey, hey... Let's not turn this into north/south or east/west thing. It will only detract from the fact that it's a sad day when any beer prices go up. This is about as bad as the price of the Gen II going up. :bang head:

I don't think the regionally brewed beers will be price affected (hopefully). In my yonger days I would go with whatever the cheapest beer was, but since I drink waaay less than I used to it's now quality over quantity. Much rather soak up 5 or 6 good stouts than 12 pk of big brewed beer. Plus it is keeping the locals (regional) brewers in business. :thumbs up::icon_jook::icon_jook::icon_jook::icon_jook::icon_jook::icon_jook:

Hey Brian did you ever read a book , or a magazine article and the whole time your reading your thinking of something else and at the end you have no idea what you just read? Well that's what happens to me when i read your posts and you have that canadian hottie avatar doin her thing...

Now what the hell did you say about beer again?:ummm:

HUH? What, just think of my problem, it's on my desktop...I'm not very productive by keeping all my windows minimized so I can stare at it ......:biglaugh:

Ha ha - you'd cry if you saw what we pay for beer here in Canada.

Americans buy beer made in Canada for less money than we pay for our own beer.

But we keep on paying...

Just like the way we pay on average 10k more for the same cars.

Milwaukee's Best Ice is 5.9 %........

Guess I'll go back to that.....:confused2:

Real beer prices went through the roof last year with the hop/barley shortage. Paying $10 or more for a 6 sucks, but doesn't suck enough to buy the pissy thin, horrible tasting mass produced megaswill

Two Hearted Ale by Bell's, 7% alcohol, If I drink 6 of these it's like drinking 12 pk of Bud, with less trips to the pisser!:biglaugh:
Another recent favorite while I was camping was another Bell's product, Amber Ale weighing in with a respectable 5.8% alcohol.
Good stuff maynard!
