I'm looking for a piece to my carbs. Not sure if I broke it or if it was already broken. However I am looking for the little barbed fitting that the hose pushes on to to let fuel out when the float sticks. I circled what I am after in the picture. What is called and does anyone have extras?
Looking at the Ron Ayres carburetor fiche, I do not see this available as a separate piece. It's the float bowl overflow duct, to-which the rubber hose connects, and the rubber hose protrudes from the carburetor mounting bracket, below the CV diaphragm cap. There are two carburetor mounting brackets, one on each exterior side of the carb quartet. Each carb body has an overflow duct.
You could try Sean Morley ([email protected]) or member dannymax, both have banner ads on the website.
Failing that, you might be able to fabricate something from a plastic vacuum fitting, and epoxy it in-place, taking-care not-to occlude the inner diameter.
You need this to drain the bowls and do a wet float check. Between all of us, I'm sure there's a spare around. I'll look when I get home. You might also be able to find something else that works. I've super glued them in place before.
Yeah I didn't see/lost the tit. So no gluing it back on for me. The bike has been sitting for 10 years. The carbs have been fighting me every step of the way. Thanks for the help guys
