If yours isn't pitted on the seal area, you should be able to rebuild the cyl, the kits are cheap. I posted the part # recently in another thread. Make sure that the bore is clean, 220/320/400 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper, then lube the seals when you install them. Dry-fit to put the piston seal in, wet seal for the pushrod.

FYI, the OEM diaphragm spring should provide sufficient tension to not-allow clutch-slippage. Doing the DD is something you do because you drag-race the bike, or otherwise provide 'severe-duty' operation of the clutch.

PCW in Schenectady NY has the heavy-duty diaphragm spring, I use one and am happy with it. It's not as-hard to-pull as the DD mod, but provides an increase over the stock spring clutch action. Call them, their web presence isn't set-up for ordering easily. I am NOT a facebook participant, I took this off google, so don't cry if it doesn't work.

Thank you for your help. I put a new clutch in and it still slip.. most gears and it’s embarrassing! I don’t have much time to do research on the issue. I’m replacing the half plate with a full one .. I will just rebuild the master cylinder. Looking into the the spring.. used to be the DD mod was the fix all.. times have changed I guess. Thanks again. Tim in Indiana
