cooling pump housing

Any body know any trick to get cooling pump housing off. Without destroying it. Mine seem to be bonded on. My manual just say it held on by the gasket & 2 dowels

That's all that holds it on. Of course you have the bolts through the outer perimeter as well as a few of the longer bolts through the center cover (the lowest two bolts are short and don't have to come off unless swapping out the outer cover too).

after removing the bolts just tap it with a rubber mallet to get it loose and remove. If the outer cover separates theres no worry as it uses an o-ring and not a common gasket so you can just bolt it together again.

Got it off. It actually broke off at the top left. Son of bitch was bonded on, it was hell getting old gasket off. Good thing I got the new clear cover from Sean. Thanks for the help.

Hopefully the cores are good since you have to return them yet (unless sold outright which I can're remember right now).

my elbow o-ring was kinda stuck when i did it and the engine guards didn't make access any easier.
