Riding in the rain for about an hour, all good then started stumble at low rpm, headed for home made it fine, at idle stumbling in garage, shut down, next day all good so where do I look for the liability when wet?

Do you have the front rubber heat shield in place and properly secured?

I'd be inclined to look at the ICU multiblocks as these can get water in them also the HT leads and plug caps can track particularly if they are dirty.
