I usually hope to avoid buying it. Worst case scenario, I'll buy carb kit and take them apart again, second time is much easier, and cleaning takes much longer that some part replacement.
Last time I didn't need to take carb apart completely, just removed bowl.
 
If they come-off, to come-apart, and you've never done it to them before, I'd have a float needle valve and a jet block gasket, for four carburetors. That's the minimum. I keep extra OEM jets for the jet block and the air bleed ass'y. on-hand. Rarely have I ever found the float bowl gasket needing to be replaced, same for the various O-rings, assuming things haven't been ruined by a prior ham-fisted carb-butcher.

If the kit I get either OEM or K&L has the O-rings, I replace 'em and throw the used ones into a pill bottle, labelled. Same for any brass or the needle valves.
