driveshaft play?

:ummm:hello folks. does anyone know if the driveshaft itself is supposed to have a lot of end play? thanks

Define play? It's a snug fit into the ujoint but it has a swivel end on the diff side that allows it to flop around when not assembled all together.

there is some free play in the transmission. i'd say what like 4-6" of bike movement is normal while in gear and no cluch pushed in? i know this question came up before. maybe its like 3-4" but either way there is some.
