I came across this site , did anyone try this before? they say that treating parts with dry film lubricant before engine assembly reduces wear of all moving parts and prolongs engine life drastically, it sounds like the miracle lubricants you add to oil but is more sophisticated and expensive.
This would be great for engine rebuilding and starting the first time but wouldn't it cause cylinder glazing?
Dry film lubrication is similar to Teflon coating but adds nothing to the dimension of the part they claim it impregnates the surface of metals.
I would think manufactures would use it for all engines they produce to ensure reliability and take the guess work out of break in.
Your comments will be greatly appreciated.
