Has anyone come up with a way to retro fit newer bags onto the Gen 2?

I would like to fabricate some brackets to put these FZ-09 bags on instead of paying $500-1200 for Genuine rare VMAX bags.

I'm using Yamaha Snowmobile bags with rock straps works great. Also using a 53L Givi/Kappa top case with my hand-built custom rack to support a very loaded case. I plan to start fabbing some side plat mounts for some hard case givi cases I have.

I really enjoy working with metal even if it means I'm getting a tetanus booster every year

Soft luggage works well but I've learned hard cases are by far the superior way to go... I want to make something as well made as this custom Givi steel rack. Guys that have seen it think it's a Givi made rack. (You can never get around how goofy a monokey mounting plate looks)
