Few 1/8 mile gen 1 runs

Well I was toying with the airflow & jetting on the old 89 yesterday so I took it down to the local 1/8 mile last night. I picked up a little power on the big end neeed to go back to the 1/4 now to see how its really running. 1st pass RT .071 60 ft 180 ET 7.277 @ 98.63 2nd pass RT .020 60 FT 1.746 ET 7.295 @ 95.23 MPH 3rd passs RT .015 60 FT 1.700 ET 7.247 @ 94.68 probably gonna go back to the 1/4 next week.

I suspect this is a "full" tree as opposed to the "pro" tree? The "pro" tree I have had the displeasure of being up against the last few years is all yellow at once then green. The "full" tree is yellow, yellow, yellow, green. This tree is much easier to get double "0" lights on.

Either way they are good lights (and very good lights if the "pro" tree).

Never done the 1/8, how do these numbers translate to the 1/4, high 10's low 11's??

I have always wanted to do the 1/8 tho'...Suspect it would be better for my ego..... I seem to always get the shit kicked out of me in the last 200 or so feet on the 1/4 when lining up against the sport bikes.

I'm usually in the 11.30-11.40 range, or was, I thin it's gonna be a different story when I get this engine back together...

That is pretty much dead nuts on, going by that chart, it says At my weight (bike and I) should have run 9.98 if the 1/8 mile was 6.40, I ran a 6.39 1/8 and a 9.94 1/4... Even the hp numbers are pretty close as well. It says I should be putting down about 174 ish to the ground for my trap speed, which concurs pretty close.

Yep 11.30's should be close the best pass pass I made last time was back to back 11.41's but I have changed a little bit now so lets hope for a little better.
