Cleaning the carbs on Kellie's 94. Picked up an inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner off of ebay and some Shellac Buster. I have them reassembled, but not back in the bike yet.

She hadn't ridden it for a couple of years due to a bad ankle sprain from a 1 1/2 years ago. Had surgery early last year for it.

These were so gummed up that the slides wouldn't budge. The needles acted like they were coated in glue.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of before and after. Mind you, I disassembled these and cleaned them with spray carb cleaner back in February, so they don't look quite as bad as they did back then. The spray cleaner wouldn't clean all of the varnish off that you can see in the pictures. The bike did run, but it wasn't quite right, which lead me to the Shellac Buster and US cleaner.

Now I'm getting anxious to replace the pickup coils on my '86 and clean its carbs. It makes the job so much easier.
