Happened to notice a first generation Max in a HughsNet Internet Commercial while watching the tube this week. Looks like an '85 or '86. Good to see the ole 1st Gens are still getting a few seconds of fame! Too bad the next scene is the gauges of a Virago or something....

Yes that has been mentioned before on the website. Maybe the Irondequoit Bay froze-up so-much last winter that the electromagnetic spectrum of tv signals was delayed in reaching Genessee County, or Schultz and Dooley drank too-much Utica Club and forgot to turn-on the broadcast tower?:rofl_200:

Maybe it was mentioned on here back when electromagnetic tv signals or broadcast towers were still being used. I joined the site in the digital age! :)
 
Ever drive by a Comcast (or is it Frontier) broadcast base? Before that fiber-optic signal comes slithering to your home tv, it comes from a satellite to that regional reception site where the signal is split according to what you subscribe-to, via filters out on the pole by your home.
