Love the black and white however I think if the engine were black it would be even better. All in all nicely done and nice to see a project all the way through.

I'm not certain how well the engine color matches the bike....but I do like the bike overall, and good quality workmanship.

Unless you dig the engine color alot if i was you i would paint the engine black or gray. other wise looks like a nice clean job. Also if you ever go to sell it i think repainting the engine would be the best way to go.

I think the difference in the engine color disrupts the flow. I would either paint the stripes to match the engine color or paint the engine to match the stripes. Nice clean job :punk:

I wanted the engine to stand out the most and yes if i sold the bike the engine would defiantly have to go back to black :)

I LOVE the engine color. The rest of your body work looks really nice too......just maybe, not all together (for my tastes). If it were me, I think I'd be using more of the engine blue somewhere on the tins (prolly on the stripe) to pull it all together a bit more to my liking. "To each, his own". If you like it - that's all that counts in my book.

I'd be proud to share some wind with you & that bike any day.

I like the blue and the tins. But I don't like them together. However if you like it then enjoy and ride the piss out of her.......

I agree with several of the posters that if the stripes matched the engine it would look better. Too many colors. When buying cars or bikes I always tried to go with no more than two colors. For example, for many years I bought only convertibles. I always made sure the top color either matched the interior color or the body color. If the interior and exterior were the same color then a different color top was acceptable. Again, just two colors. Just seemed better to me. A black car with red interior and white top seemed wrong. In that case I would go for a black top. Just my opinion though.

I like the overall look of the build and even the color of the engine. The only issue I have is the quality of the engine paint. Unfortunity it looks a little rough.

You did show me that a none black engine color scheme vmax could be very nice.

I like it !! Maybe somebody could photoshop it with some more of the blue accent, like the stripes, Yamaha lettering In the scoops & side panels, one of Morley's seats w/blue Vmax & some blue LED lights in the gauges. Overall I think you did a good job with little investment. I commend you for that. One thing though once that monkey bites, you never finish tweeking this or that on her. The Vmax is special like that, you can customize many different ways & most of the time there pretty cool.

I went looking on the net for vmaxs that had custom engine paint jobs and honestly, I didn't find much, which I find kind of strange.

I did find this one and do like the way he blended the engine color into the whole paint scheme.

Like I said before, I really like the concept of changing the engine color from it's traditional black or silver colours. Would love to see other examples of it his.
