It was also nice to see almost everyone here has a CHL & like guns. Im trying to figure out rather we had more guns or Vmax's here:biglaugh:

You guys are lucky, I can own a gun in Florida but no can do for the carry license, that sucks. So far only a S&W 357 Mag in the stable. On the wish list 9mm Beretta 92FS, my buddy has one, but he won?t part with it....:bang head:

Yeah unfortunately no burn out video. I saw the new rubber and forgot all about tearing up the existing rubber.

As for the new rubber being slick to start with, it already sticks a hell of a lot better than the old rubber ever did. Slow short turns are significantly tighter and cornering at speed is significantly better. I think I'll put another tank or two through it before doing some real aggressive cornering.

Well time for me to power down, next stop Narita Airport, JP. Unfortunately the fun doesn't end there, 2 hour layover and a 3.5 hour flight to Guam. At least it beats traveling to the Middle East again!

Had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. A special thanks to Kyle and Christine for they,re hospitality.

I didn't know you had a legend among you. Mr. 167 mph in Pa and able to return to the hotel to tell the story. Ron glad to see you in Fla far from the cold of NY.

I wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting and swapping stories with Ron. It was like having one of the East coast guys representing down here. We turned the thermometer down as low as we could to make you feel at home! The guy is 40
years young in his mind. I can only hope I'm tearing it up like him at that age!
Rock on Ron!

ya ron's a cool cat. didn't know we were in the midst of celebrity. ron's a member, right? i overheard him say that he was. anyways, ron i think this might be the road you were talking about where hooligans were having yard sales and reserving their trips to the morgue. http://goo.gl/maps/k8TzM. it was a two-laner a few decades back that opened up with a couple of passing lanes here and there; no cops, but a bunch of semis and an occasional parcel of deer foraging the shoulder. it's been windened up since and the wildlife has scattered because of the cookie-cutter communities that have been erected.

if that's not the one you were thinking about, then perhaps it's this one. http://goo.gl/maps/Evii7. this, too, had a reputation of being a death track--not only for bikes, but for cars as well. no cops, no posted speed limits, bunch of tractors, and road rodents like boars, deer, armadillos, and raccoons.

this is the tracks of road i was telling you about, that is the current hotspot. http://goo.gl/maps/Dn74X. a gang of crotchateers will post sentries on points "A" and "B" or "B" and "C" depending on which leg they are running and call in warnings of incoming five-ohs to the runners. i've enjoyed a cage-free, triple-digit cruise from "A" to "C" through the sunny cow-fields and overhanging pinetrees more than a couple times. I haven't driven "Deer Run", but I here it's a nice.

this is suppose to be a beautiful stretch of road, free of cages and full of sun. http://goo.gl/maps/nRn08

i've had a couple of office mates run this loop while in Daytona: http://goo.gl/maps/9IWAC. It, too, is suppose to be a beautiful ride. two-laner with un-manicured floridian scenery.

Ron's story of him getting caught during Thunder was a source of much discussion in the parking lot at the hotel and breakfast the next morning. Great story teller and guy that Ron! :clapping:

"ninjaneer," that FL route looks like a good one. We are usually so caught-up in stuff around Daytona we don't actually ridae all that far, or long, but then-again, living in south FL, we get to ride nearly any time we want to. I am trying to put together a Daytona trip w/my riding buddy from Wellington in Palm Beach Co. FL. I hope family committments allow me to attend for a few days.
