Gauging interest: Anyone interested in a 0 mileage Gen 2 engine? Removed from an unridden 2010 model. Engine harness and ECU also available. Make an offer.

Why would a 0 mile engine be removed from a bike? Whats the story behind this engine? Flood?

Original owner was subcontracted to design parts for Yamaha. Had to destroy the frames. Engines and miscellaneous other parts were kept. 2 engines actually available. Both 0 miles.

Thanks for the clarity. Unlike the other guy with 10 engines asking 10K a pop on a 10K motorcycle....I suspect 3-4K for these engines to be reasonable should someone need one.

I do have a good used gen 2 engine around here already on a pallet and ready. I do have a wire harness I can sell too. I have ECU's but would generally prefer to hold on to them since I use them to do flash exchanges for my customers.

oh praytell what would one get for one of these gems in a Gen 2. What year are they?
you mentioned that you reflash EXU's are you the guru everyone talks about?

The current engine I have is a 2013 removed with 22k miles on it. Does not include the starter but has all covers, stator, engine harness, coils, throttle body assembly, some hoses, oil/water cooler adapter (and spin on filter). Cost would be $4000 shipped anywhere in the US lower 48.

22k is nothing on these engines. Not even full broken in.
