Gen 2 Tank Pad or Airbox Cover Paint Protector

I have a Black 2009 and am looking for a Tank Pad that protects the lower crescent edge of the fake tank top that's wide enough and not super tall. My jacket hits this area and up the tank by about 2" and is dulling the paint requiring constant attention.
I know that Yamaha made an optional protector that's bike specific and was available in Europe but is evidently no longer available.
Any tasteful thoughts?
