I bought the Harbor Freight Stand Part # 99701 with a 20% off coupon. Reg price is $42.00 +tax

If you buy 1 1/4” square tubing cut 6” long. Put in the center of each leg then drill the 6 holes to 1/4”.

You then need 6 grade 8 bolts 3” long with washers on the main body of the stand. Then put the legs on the out side of the C shade main body. This will give you the wide spacing needed for a rear swing arm that is shaft drive! Works great and you will have about $55 bucks total in the stand.

You will need 6mm spools - ebay has plenty for about $13 shipped.

Hope this helps!

Dan

Man, that rig makes me wish I had a gen 2.

Very nice work. Clean, professional, just awesome. Well done!

I did it a bit different. Salvaged an older Rearstand for the Mount and used 30mm Couple Nuts.
Flanged Bolts M8x10 & M8x 45

I had to order new M8x45 as I had only 5 left and my OCD won't let me use a different bolt/screw here.
I tried M8 x 80, Hex Head, 1 1/4 inch spacer and Nuts, but did not want to use Washers. And the Coupling Nuts are MUCH cheaper than the Spacer.
It is 30mm instead of 1 1/4, ut the material is soft enough to compensate

I had one that fit my ZX14r and put a bottle jack and some pieces of 2×4 and spread it open till it matched up to the spools on my vmax

Dan,
I used your post as a guide and fabricated the same setup.

The bolts were just long enough for a Nyloc, no room for washers. I bought 5/16" bolts and Nylocs as well, but ended up using the 1/4" ones. I made my own swingarm spools and spacers out of some black Delrin.

Bike Lift = $46.97 (full price - no more coupons at Harbor Freight)
1 1/4" Steel square tubing from Home Depot = $14.69
1/4 x 20 x 3" Grade 8 Bolts and Nyloc nuts = $3.50
Homemade Spools and 6 mm socket head bolts = Free

Total cost = $65.16

Thanks for the idea!

When I test rode the bike, I wasn't too impressed coming off a V-max 1200. But once it was my bike and I could really open it up....things were much different!
No more waiting for V-Boost at 5800 RPM when you really crack the throttle on a 2nd Gen in any gear. Spun the 240 rear tire a few times.
