The two relays I tested, the lamps are either on full power, the when they should be off, they still emit light but are much less bright. *

Over here in the UK I'm pretty sure thay would not be legal.

* long story but I did investigate the circuit to do this and made one up. I don't recall the lamps emitting light when "off" but I will revisit. In other words the $3 relays are a piss poor design.

02GF74 I guess that's what you get for $3.00. To answer your question the relay I have turns the lights off completely when they are off.

Hey does anyone sell the plug and play kits anymore? I have looked around and can't seem to find them
Thanks
I couldn't find Mike Kemp's kit anymore, so I decided to make my own plug and play kit using Diode Dynamics switchbacks, spacers for the top 80mm halo (78mm hub centric spacers for wheels work perfectly), and Yamaha connectors from Custom LED. I already have their relay for my integrated taillamp.

A couple weeks before Memorial Day I will have mine installed for 2 years. Mine are the cheap Chinese halos but so far, no issues with them. They still function as the day I installed them. And despite the time, I have nearly 20000 miles riding with these halos.

I've been locked out of the forum for some reason....tried again and voila, I got it! I just wanted to say VERY nice job on the kit! You used the best halo made!

I have decided to start doing some limited runs of 5 kits at a time. These are by PREORDER only. Shoot me an email, and I will respond with where I am in production. I had some tech troubles getting into the forum, but it suddenly let me in. I'm recovering from major back surgery (almost to the point of figuring how to walk again), so I am pacing myself. My email addy is [email protected].

Good to see you back, Mike.

And having one of Mike's kits I can tell you they are well thought out with great instructions and very high quality...well worth it.

I have one of Mikes kits and it is great. I only have about 4000 miles on them, but the kit is well thought out and easy to install. Thanks Mike!
