I agree, looks like the early R1. If it's 100 mm o.c., that should be good for 1993+ VMaxes, no adapter bracket necessary. Wire-brush your caliper mounting bolts, a couple drops of Permatex blue threadlocker, torque 'em, and you're set.

I like HH pads, any known name brand should be good, or even OEM Yamaha.
 
it's 100mm. I have no use for it. I've got a pair of tokico 6 pots that will go with Morley's 320 conversion. It's pretty rough looking, been sitting for years, no pads. New seals & some paint or pc are definitely in order. It's going to the sale forum in a minute.

I put those calipers with Galfer HH pads on my Venture and it stops with crazy ease.
