I pulled the sensor out of my rust fuel tank this afternoon. The sensor sure looks like it has seen better days.

Is there a way to test it out before reinstalling it? I don't want to put it in if it don't work obviously. If I do reinstall it and it doesn't work, can I jump t out somehow?

I understand it's a thermistor, but would like to know if anyone has a way of doing it.

Yes, measure resistance across the terminals and it should be between 700-1100 Ohms.

I see in the wiring diagram that the diode block is also involved in this circuit. Would a defective diode block cause the sender/sender light not to work? Also the resistance values are for IN fuel?
