while the max was parked at the local mall a while back someone tried to jimmy the ignition key. by doing so they damaged the opening there is no flap covering the hole once the key is removed.....i am sure this will pose a problem with water getting into the switch and corroding contacts eventually....any thoughts?

easy to swap a for new switch?
or is it like accessing the front coils......tighter than my grip on the turkey drumstick at thanksgiving?
 
it's easy to replace. Remove right scoop, heat shield and steering neck cover. Two bolts hold it on. Undo the 3 wire connector and it's removed. Only issue is you'll need a different key since the key hole is what's damaged.
