Installing swing arm... Need help!

need to install a extended swing arm, not really a mechanic type but willing to try any blogs on here telling how to take off and install a swing arm>

What point are you at now? Or do you need a complete step by step from removal to installation?

If you haven't got one, invest in a workshop manual. It's fairly easy to figure it out , seeing as you say you're not mechanically minded it really is essential.
Just take your time and read through it.

haynes manual will be key for ya! basic steps:

1. remove rear tire
2. displace brake system
3. remove shocks (swingarm will drop, be careful)
4. remove holding pins (under pivot covers)
5. swingarm will remove.

When you say you need to install an extended swing arm it sounds like you already have it?

Doesnt seem like the typical starting place of some one whos not "the mechanic type".

Did you get an awsome deal or was this just somthing you knew you wanted to do to it?
