We all talk about how fast max is and how fast we can ride until we see something like this then we get numb and scared.
Its not how fast you can ride its more like how long will you continue riding and enjoying motorcycling & open air freedom.
accidents do happen BUT the higher the speed the more tragic it gets not only for the rider but for his/her family too.
People, ride safe, wear protective gear and practice accident avoidance, take riding skill courses and KNOW your limits, remember its not macho to become road grease.
This link contains very graphic photos! sad, scary and true.

Big wake up call isn't it. However, it so tempting to twist & go like snot. Unfortunately if we were to crash because of 1001 reasons, it too bad thats likely what we will end up looking like. (snot)

Most of those bikes were crotch-rockets. I bet 70% of them they were going too fast, and 25% were from people who didn't see them. That leaves about 5% put down as a true accident. (blown tire, road debrie...ex)

It sucks but it happens !

That's why you have to take them to the track. Can't be messing around too much on the streets. Too many other obstacles.

PLeanty of harleys and jap cruisers though. Most being run over by fuckhead cagers not following the rules.

Its also important to sharpen ones riding skills with some advance riding classes and stay away from "how fast can I go" many get over their head with speed and not pay much attention to potential dangers lurking
the faster you are the less time for you to scrutinize the road & traffic situation.
accidents will happen, but how bad is the key, an accident that happens without the rider knowing what is coming is the worst kind and usually fatal or totally disabling.
think like a rat in traffic, the ability to change direction quick, anticipate what is coming and have a plan to deal with it.

Going to the track is definitely a great thing in the quest of improving your techniques in turns and at high speed BUT streets are very different and infinitely more dangerous, using track techniques on streets is a recipe for disaster because they are for high speeds so you will be going faster than you safely could.
