I'm going to use the above as it will work with the intake I am using.
Is it best to use a dynojet kit with it or the morley jet kit ?
I'll be running a full custom exhaust.

Morley jet kit with air correctors!

I've a K&N with the top of the airbox totally opened out - I needed the air correctors

It also looks like you'll be getting some RAM air with turbulance, that's going to be fun to jet

Yea, it's going to suck. If he leaves the OEM filter setup and just stacks this on top for mostly looks it will do fine.

If you're using the stock style air filter then no jet kit required unless you modify the air box.

It looks like the top of the airbox is moulded to give a flat surface to fix the RAM scoop onto, I would therefore assume that the Y piece is gone and the opening is cut out to the full oval of the filter

Correct Johnp.
I have cut out the oval intake area of the stock/K&N filter.

I have trimmed minimal bits of the top of the box to leave the filter mounts in position.
The 2 holes in the Scott base plate will be machined into one oval, tapered down to fit the intake of the K&N.

It won't be a 'ram air' system (fine mesh vent going in airbox) It's just a cold air intake feature as I am picking a few style points from the Interceptor.
I have used the cold air intake on my FJ/XJR's in the past with no ill effects.

Is there a huge difference between the flat filter from Sean and the K&N ?

If so I'd obviously go that way...
Looking at the pics do you think it would still fit albeit with some modification ? I can open up the top of the airbox to the full size of the scott base thus increasing the intake area.

Don't make the opening too large and it should work fine. Probably will need the air correctors if it doesn't like revving up though.

Sean

It's easier to email if you can. The full normal kit is $300 exchanged with the airbox lid. I had another customer try to use our lid with an open hole in the top of the faux cover and it did not want to run right and we didn't want to spend a super long time trying to make it work.
