Is there an xpipe available that factory mufflers will work with, really love the look of stock mufflers , just not loud enough

For Gen. 1:
People who want the increased sound but to keep the OEM look, drill out the endplate rivets in the mufflers, and drill some holes underneath it, and then rivet the vanity cap back-on. It's louder, but not 'earplug-necessary louder.'

I've never done it, but I've owned a bike someone did that to before my ownership, and it was a good compromise.

Can't help you on the Gen II.

I did the same with the end plates and worked really well on my Gen 1. I have had and still own bikes I have spent a lot of $ on pipes. The Max is the first that that was not necessary to get increase of HP. I had a buddy that had a set of UFO headers. Very nice but sooo loud. I drilled out the end covers and drilled 4 - 1/4 inch holes in each and pop-riveted the covers back on. Very effective. Note that the weight of stock is a problem you still live with. But one does not know it until you get rid of the weight.

I put a 17" wheel conversion from Andy Kosman on two of three I have had and it was awesome to 160MPH. My third I bought used, first 2 new, and I did the same except the rear wheel. Put a Shinko Tour Master on the rear. For $100 that was an excellent option to spending a grand on a 17" wheel and then the tire; Sandy has retired. I completed everything the Stage 7 Dynajet kit has, Shimmed the needles and it ran like a Scalded Ape.

I scared up one of my pipes when I did not warm up the tires and at my streets stop sign I hit it taking a rt hand turn and the rear just did a spinout like doing a donut but I could not keep it off the ground. That sucked not to mention looking like a Nube... I put the silencers from a SuperTrapp set of headers on it and they are very nice. One can adjust the sound and back pressure you want with the silencer plates or run them open and look pretty good. I got black since my third has black wheels. I will eventually get the header pipes maybe or paint these to match. They are a nice option for less $ and performance is very good. Without the silencer plates it will "spin" the rear in 2nd gear.
