Those are 3 different options you're looking at.

The Aliexpress backrest is known as "Rentech" or "Renntech"

The 2040 Motos unit is OEM yamaha equipment. The best looking IMO.

The Classic Cruiser unit is an option offered by H.A.C. Its easily removeable if that matters to you. You need to come up with some kind of way to hide the hardware though. You end up removing that little reflector behind the passenger seat in order to make it all work.

Check our Chris's album for some pics and comments on the HAC unit. https://www.vmaxforum.net/media/a-s...happy-and-thats-all-that-matters-p.154/#media

Thanks for the info. I'll msg Chris to see where he got his backrest.

This site has the best price but is lacking details.

It doesn't say if the whole assembly will come with the backrest.

Has anyone purchased the HAC from Classic Cruiser?

- getting close to just spending the $450 on this - https://www.ebay.ca/itm/YAMAHA-VMAX...ash=item3fcb6deabe:g:8dsAAOSwDG1dcWKU&vxp=mtr

Chris hasn't been active in years.
Send Sean an email to see what he has in stock for sissybars: [email protected]
Captain Kyle or Patmax may have some options too.

Not sure what you mean by "the whole assembly"? The HAC unit is only a little, bolt on sissy bar and a couple pieces of hardware. It will come with everything you need to install. As noted, you will see the hardware. Check out this website, it shows a better picture of what it is.

After looking at it closer it's making sense. I was assuming there was more to it. Seems like life is getting easier. Thanks guys for help and patience.

I have one stock backrest and one custom modified stock backrest (with short riser and custom pad). Email me!

^^^ check out the one with.a shorter riser.( virago mod ?).
That's what i run. Wife loves it.she can feel the backrest.all the time.on a stocker.she would have to lean back. The shorter risers are worth doing.I added a pad also. Talk to Sean. He helped me.
