Hey guys and gals, when my 2016 Max was totaled back in December I wanted to jump right back on one. Or did I, I had passed on about five for two month after the incident??? Ready to move on and have had my eye on cycletrader, craigslist and FB for sometime. If you have a Gen 2 that you are ready to part with, know someone or see one for sale please PM me. My preferences are 2015-2017(like the colors especially 16), stock, garaged, one owner and near Tulsa, OK. LOL These are just preferences, I am open to most but not in a desperate state. I have a 14 Raider so I am still riding. Have cash in hand and when I bought my 16 in 2020 I jumped in the car and drove ten hours to see and ride and paid the man on the spot.

If anyone has any other places to search please let me know. I am not interested in Gen 1, had 85 when they first came out and loved it back then.

Thanks in advance :)

Can’t help with your search, but wishing the best of luck to find your next one. I really like your raider as well, nice looking bike! Good luck, hope you find one soon.

On the Raider did you need to tune after using what looks like the VH exhaust? Real beautys there.

Yes, with K&N, V&H and PCV had a lot of popping on decel. I went with Ivan's flashing my ECU and popping was gone and a lot more responsive than PCV. Pulled PCV off and just the flash, K&N and Freedom Sharp Curves now. I had worn a hole in my front heatshield and finally about 6" of the chrome broke off completely. Didn't know it until an hour later when fueling.

Thanks for the reply. I wish someday YAMA will bring back the Raider in a performance model with the same engine but more HP and no Rake, performance tires and rims, and new updated instrumentation, sixth gear would be nice too.

I am with you on all aspects except the rake. I like the rake, had a Warrior and Raider at the same time and the rake on the Raider really felt and handled well. I would just lay it over in turns and it would stick with Avon's. Much more hp and I would probably think differently.

I think if YAMA wanted they could make a super machine out of the Raider, but I doubt thy will. I think the sales of their Venture line is dismal.

Just wish they had not discontinued the Max...
Check out the MT-10 SP, first time in the USA for that model, 163HP, 80 torque, 467 pounds and very hi tech. If you like crazy performance and canyon carving, this is your baby. :)

Inderdaad ouderwets v-koppel hoe beginnend grijze mannen zonder rimpels op George Clooney kunnen lijken! Gezicht weer strak na een rondje touren

If I wanted to go back to an inline 4 the MT would get my vote. Love the V torque though.
The torque on the Gen1 MAX and this MT-10 are very close, maybe 2 more for the MT10, and I am very happy with the torque on my 05.

Oh sorry I thought we were speaking of Gen 2 vs MT-10. Both Raider and Vmax Gen 2 are rated at 123 ft lb of torque and as you stated the MT-10 SP is 80-81. That's what I would miss, that big torque. But I guess over 200 lbs of less weight on the MT would make up for it!!!:)

I have a 2018 with just under 10k miles on it. Always willing to entertain an offer. Has the ‘touring’ wind screen, back rest and highway pegs from a company in Australia. Bike is mint and stock except for a couple scratches on the inside of the muffler, I backed the Vmax muffler into one of my other bikes mufflers and it scraped off just a tiny bit of the paint. Not a bad scratch at all, just noticeable is all. Never been down, and of course… she FKN rips arms out of sockets. Indiana here.

09 with body wrap , tons of tasteful mods. 20k miles. I bought it from an older gentleman and I only have for about 3000 miles on it. Had a stroke got to get something lighter and easier to handle.B6CDAF1B-78D8-4498-8E97-AA56E7A645AA.jpeg

In NC have a 2017, stock except for CRG bar end mirrors and Holeshot Corbin seat + Holeshot pillion. Around 12,500 miles. Garage kept. Never in rain.
Pit Bull stands + tire wedge. On second Yuasa + battery tender. Not one scratch. New OEM brakes in hand. Third set of Battlax about 50% left. Will let go for right price. Original owner, title in hand, oil and diff changed yearly whether needed or not. Original mirrors and seats in my possession. Shop manual included also. 22mm axle socket included. This is not a must sell situation so.............. Serious inquiries only please.
