I have searched and the search function does not yeild results:

What is the recommended fluid for the drive shaft?

I have an 04 I just picked up that only has 1500 miles on it, so it sat for a long time, I figure a change is in order.

AE, this is what I use. It's BG Ultraguard. It's the best you can get. With this stuff, it's the only time I have never had metal shavings on the magnetic drain plug. I was told by Morley and a BG employee that you never have to change this again...it'll outlast your bike.

Yupp I put Royal Purple in mine. I cant tell you how it works. I only have about 1500 miles on it. I will let you know how it looks in about 2000 miles when I change it.

I made the change to Royal Purple yesterday and I was surprised at the gunk on the magnet!
Can't tell the difference but at least I have peace of mind.
