So the American V4 Motus will definitely be coming to market for the '13 model year. Hooray V4!

Good news, it comes in a 165hp standard and 185hp "R" version. Bad news, it starts at $31k, if you want the R version make that $37k. And you don't get all that much with the base model....touring staples like adjustable windshields and heated grips are extra-cost options.

More bad news: it's a very generic looking sport tourer. Will fit right in with all the BMW's at the Hair Club for Men. Doesn't look mean, fast, aggressive whatsoever. It's as menacing as the average dishwasher.

I was kind of hoping this would end up being the "gen2" I was hoping for, but as a lot of people guessed it's priced well beyond the reach of most riders, and isn't a bike I'd be interested in even if it was half the price. Still, here's hoping the upstart company finds a niche and grows, since they designed a pretty sweet engine. Now if they'd rotate it 90* and ditch the stupid hardbags and fairings, we'd be in business.

It's in streetfighter trim in their featured video on the website. The tourer looks like a BMW F800 (I think) and a suzuki gsxf 500 had a kid. It sounds right. It's built well. The streetfighter version is gonna be awesome.

I am happy as hell that there is another American company.

But wayyyyyyy out of my price range.

There were mentions of a naked version (s fighter). I also read that Motus wanted to keep them priced reasonably so they would sell. The cycle world write up about 6 months ago also mentioned a supercharged 300hp model as well. They utilize alot of GM parts in that engine too." Alotta doe for a scooter " Hmmmm, corvette or bike :hmmm:
