OK... First boo boo on the vmax. Parking in garage and kickstand was on half rug and half concrete floor.... Slip... Fell on me (left side) I protected it BUT my right elbow dinged the plastic gas tank cover. Paint fine, just round Dent (looks like a shot put fell on it lol).

What's the best way to get Dent out without breaking paint? Heat gun? Freeze it? Just ouch from underside???

Thought it was plastic it's so light... But it metal... Heat gun and oven gloves got most. Then more heat and rubber Mallett and all better

Whew. Nice recovery. I've been able to hammer small dents out that have no creases, but luckily I haven't had a shotput-sized one. Glad it worked out.

I got very lucky... Took abkut 45 min total but worth it. Heat and press and repeat then heat both sides rubber Mallett and repeat a lot.. Could have been $

Well done on that, I thought the tank was double skinned so it would not have been possible.

I would have suggested a sucker to pull the dent out but there are dent removal kits that use glue on tabs, (not used one myself but I know that paint when done properly, is pretty hard to pull off the metal), the glue being removed using a solvent.

Looks good. I was going to advise a Dent King kit from the local Auto Parts store. But seems you've taken care of the problem. Well done... 👍
