The fuel pump took a dump on my 85 max. I was going to order a new oem until I figured out they get $150+ for one! Anybody have a good suggestions for a replacement that will be reliable and lower cost. I have seen the junk crap at the parts store that last 2 days, so thats not an option. Thanks for any help in advance.:bang head:

not sure what the problem is with your pump, but if i keeps clicking you might have a misplaced diaphram. Yukoner has a nice write up with how to fix and pics...

I took the pump apart and the doohickey diaphragm was out of the spot were it was suppose to be. i put it back in place and inspected the rest of the pump. I thought i had it fixed, but the pump has a crack in it( the thing that looks like a accelerator pump). I pressure checked it and flowed it and it checked out good, but not for long I am sure. Still looking for a good stock pump. Wish I would have read the post response earlier about the ebay pump. I am sure there will be more.
