New here from iowa. Been on and owned a lot of bikes mostly crotch rockets with the exception of my harley night train and vrod and myv65 sabre and yamaha raider. Ive always wanted a vmax and came across a 2nd gen for decent price and low miles so i couldn't pass it up..
2009 vmax with 6500 miles i bought the beginning of last summer and put about 900 miles on it so far. Ive add the dd clutch mod, catless exhaust with i think ufo tips? Air box mod and guru tune.20220922_114916.jpg20220922_114753.jpg

Hi and welcome, nice looking Gen 2! You’ve had a couple bikes I’d like to ride/own one of these days. How was the vrod? Raider? Both bikes I like, I love my Gen 2 but I call it my hour bike cause after an hour I’m done. Good luck with you new to you Gen 2

I know what you mean by hour bike lol liked the vrod alot but like the vmax after awhile it's uncomfortable but im also only 5'10" so im kinda stretched out on it. the raider is probably my favorite bike ever. Very comfortable decent power for what it is and handles awesome

Those are some nice looking bikes! I bet the vrod has to sound pretty bad ass with that exhaust! How do you like the forward controls? Looks very comfortable, just wondering if it’s hard to get your feet to them from a rip. I would ride either one of them bad boys! Post a sound clip of them if you don’t mind, thanks. Steve

I would if i still had it. Only bike i currently have is the vmax. I traded the vrod in on the raider then ended up selling the raider went about a year in a half without a bike then bought the vmax last summer. It had a nice deep rumble it was the vance and hines pro or race series exhaust. Pulling you feet to the pegs wasnt bad it was the reaching up for the handle bars that sucked. The vrod muscle or one of the modelsthe pegs in the normal spot

Nice vmax. Welcome. Southern Iowa?
