Well, I ended up buying a pair of Ohlins shocks for my vmax...
They are damn expensive (and yellow...), but since I've had my bike for almost 19 years now and that it looks like I will be buried with her... :big laugh: , I told myself that it's just something that I won't have to buy again...

One question though and probably a dumb one... :ummm:
They come with seals that are not symmetrical. I tried to figure out which way they would fit but it doesn't make sense to me. So for you guys who had mounted them in the past.
What is the proper mounting side for these seals ?

Thanks

Sorry I can't help but not (yellow) GOLD that's why they cost so much.
Only set I bought was for a gsxr but I won't go there.

These are YA427. And I have the mounting instructions with me but there's no way to know which side to mount the seals towards the shocks since it's just a diagram.
The seals have one side with one lip and the other side more flat (see picture).
