Hi there,

who is owning the oldest V-MAX??

is it known? maybe there's a list or anything?

it can be figured out according the frame number.

the last digits of the first frame-number was 000101
next 102 and so on.

it will be nice to know how many of our old

steel-pigs are still driving around.

with regards
across the pond

The last 4 numbers on my '85 are "3216".

Making mine the 3115th produced, evidently...

I had a 1981 Virago number 762....

the last four numbers of my chassis are 2543 which makes my baby number 2442.

Bless.

@fast freddy.

the answer from yamaha motors germany is a little bit disappointing.

they did not know how much ever manufactured.

but they confirmed the last six digits started with 1FK or 1GR or 1JH000101

Bike looks bad ass Karl! I am a huge street fighter fan which I tried to emulate in my Max as well but I also lowered it which kind of goes away from that style a bit. Looks good!:thumbs up:

for our understanding ,

if the frame number 000101 was the first than was the frame with number 000200 the 100th.
and so on.:eusa_dance:

Tell us about your upside down front, triples, forks etc.....looks good!

Rusty

@Dreamster66 ...you only have to subtract 100
yours is the 2596th

@rusty. it is the stock front from a
yamaha YZF750 SP

fork is powder coated glossy black
the 6 piston brake calipers are polished
and a custom made triple tree with a approx 7 cm lowered fork support to reach the stock height.

i will upload some pics soon.

OK now, this kinda goes along with the oldest VMax... Who's had their VMax the longest.

1985 Max - Bought new on April 18, 1985.

I've got a beer for anyone who can beat that.
I know that I can't actually mail you a beer, so I'll drink it and you can pretend to enjoy it!

does it count if I've dreamed of one since then????
Have a beer for me Bill
(had mine for 2 yrs now)

How about the oldest V-Max rider? I will be 64 in January.
