I dislike Fox news almost as much as I dislike Chump, er, Trump. I am completely flabbergasted that Trump has gotten as far as he has. As if this country is not in bad enough shape, we need a reality TV persona as President? And one that is a lousy businessperson at that?
What has this country come to?!?!

From Time Magazine:

Trump Airlines

In 1988, Trump bought Eastern Air Shuttle, an airline service that ran hourly flights between Boston, NYC and DC for 27 years prior, for $365 million. He turned the airline, once a no frills operation, into a luxury experience, adding maple-wood veneer to the floor and gold-colored bathroom fixtures. The company never turned a profit and the high debt forced him to default on his loans. Ownership of the company was turned over to creditors. It ceased to exist in 1992.

Trump Vodka

Trump unveiled his own vodka line in 2006 paired with the characteristic slogan “Success Distilled.” Advertising for the product claimed that the vodka would “demand the same respect and inspire the same awe as the international legacy and brand of Donald Trump himself.” Trump had high hopes for his liquor brand, predicting that the T&T (Trump and Tonic) would become the most ordered drink in the country and stating on Larry King Live that he got into the vodka business to outdo “his friends” at Grey Goose. The company stopped production in 2011, reportedly due to a lack of interest.

Trump Casinos

Trump Entertainment Resorts, which is composed of three Trump-owned casinos, all in Atlantic City, filed for bankruptcy for the fourth time in 2014. Trump has distanced himself from the company, saying that besides the company having his name, he has “nothing to do with it,” despite the fact that he owned 28% of its stock.

Trump: The Game

Trump launched a Monopoly-like board game in 1989, which was discontinued a year later due to lack of interest. He tried his hand at game making once again in 2005, when he launched an updated version tied to The Apprentice. It was also discontinued.

Trump Magazine

Trump launched an eponymous magazine in 2007 that, in a press release announcing the publication’s arrival, was described as “[reflecting] the passions of its affluent readership by tapping into a rich cultural tapestry.” A year and a half after the launch, the magazine ceased publication.

Trump Steaks

Donald Trump was featured on the June 2007 cover of the Sharper Image catalogue hunched over a platter of meat to kick off his line of premium steaks that he dubbed the “world’s greatest.” The company has since been discontinued—maybe it had something to do with the Trump Steakhouse in Las Vegas being closed down in 2012 for 51 health code violations, including serving five-month old duck.

GoTrump.com

Trump launched this luxury travel search engine in 2006, only to shut it down a year later, despite being powered by booking giant Travelocity.

Trump University

In 2005, Trump opened the non-accredited, for-profit Trump University. In 2010, four students sued the university for “offering classes that amounted to extended ‘infomercials.’” Following the suit, the “university” changed its name to “The Trump Entrepreneur Initiative,” before ending operations one year later. In 2013, the New York Attorney General sued Trump and the “university” for $40 million for allegedly defrauding students.

Trump Mortgage

In 2006, Trump forayed further into the real estate industry, launching a mortgage company. The Donald had high hopes for the company, asking CNBC, “Who knows more about financing than me?” Trump Mortgage shut down within a year and a half, in part because Trump selected E.J. Ridings, a man who claimed to be a top executive at a prestigious investment bank but had actually only worked on Wall Street as a registered broker for six days, to run the company.

Yup.............Pretty sad resume alright...........That just tells us how BAD all the other options are out there if most people are pulling for Trump.....YIKES!!!!

If it comes down to Hillary or Trump I will be forced to vote against Hillary. Shes completely un-electable and should be behind bars right now. A rude, brash reality show buffoon with a tragic business history should also be un-electable.

So what happens when you have two un-electable candidates, one of them gets elected. The fact that Trump was ever taken seriously, much less still is, only tells us one thing. People are PISSED! It's like sending the establishment the biggest "FUCK YOU" we can muster. I think virtually anyone we pluck of the street would be better than either of these two clowns.

A-B-C.......Anyone But Clinton. That is how alot of Americans feel, and people are pissed off at ANYONE seen as establishment (Thats why Bernie has gotten as far as he has on the democratic side), and THAT has given rise to Trump in the republican side.

Ha! Funny, that's what I say about Trump - ANYONE BUT TRUMP!

But I do agree, there is NOBODY worth electing out there in 2016! Very very sad state of affairs! And, while I would vote for her to keep Trump out of office, I hate the Hildabeast too.

I understand. For me, Trump really hasnt said anything of use. I really listen to what the candidates have to say. I was flabbergasted when Trump said that he would authorize the military to torture....etc....because he would be the president, and so they would have to follow what he said. The NEXT day (apparently someone told him that he cant do that) and so he had to back pedal. I am John Q Public.....and I KNOW THAT YOU CANT DO THAT, as a presidential candidate....he SHOULD KNOW THAT.

Yea, right. Like that aren't doing it already........and have been all along. I guess if you call it something besides outright torture, it's OK though.:rofl_200:

Rather, what Trump should have known is: as a presidential candidate, he shouldn't say that out loud & in public.

If we know one thing about Hillary is that our constitution will not likely survive a term or two of her. Thats where the ABC comes from. She is smart, focused and calculated, she has more intelligence in a steamy bowel movement than Trump has in his whole neural makup. She is focused and will waste no time compounding the train wreck Obama left us with.

With Trump we are still in trouble but we buy some time. He is uninformed, undecided, mentally challanged and inconsistent with the attention span of a household shitfly. It will take him longer to do the same damage that clinton is already a master of. He clearly has no grasp or understanding of the constitution so perhaps it will take him longer to attack it.

Based on buying some more time I will have to do my part to keep Hillary out at all costs. Wow, I never thought it could possibly come to this.

Anybody see the movie Idiocracy? If Trump wins the presidency, I'm convinced that movie was 100% spot on. Humans are getting dumber by the day! :bang head:

Bad thing is......they vote.

This is one of those things I learned a long time ago in EMS. There are 2 groups of people. One group stays relatively small. They work hard, pay their taxes, they say that based on our income, we can afford X number of children. They other group sponges off of society, and they breed like flies. One group stays small, they other group gets bigger and bigger and bigger. Pretty soon we will have to interbreed, and collectively as a species our IQ's are heading into the toilet. There is no hope for the human race.:confused2:

Seems to be well thought out.
Also, although not fleshed out, the very reason why Trump will never beat Hillary Clinton.
Cheers!

I'm dissapointed, Lads. Not one of you took the bait.
Read the article's headlines. Then expand on the very reason Trump will NEVER win the White house.
I expressed this opinion months ago. It would be interesting to see if anyone agrees.
The first person to nail it will receive my prized (and beautifully framed) diploma from Trump University as well as a freezerful of Trump steaks!:eusa_dance:
Cheers!
p.s. - I'd like to see the U.S. switch gears, and go G.O.P. for the next administration, making a political Oreo cookie of North America. A staunch conservative country, sandwiched between two Liberal governments.
Certainly not much left to choose from, but the most viable candidate, the Ohio Governor, has taken the High Road, and has chosen to run a "clean" campaign, so consequently doesn't stand a chance. A casualty of the reality show political atmosphere we live in.

I've been very disappointed with the so-called moderators in the GOP debates. Instead of asking substantive questions, they come out with drivel like "Mr. Trump, Senator Cruz said this about you. How do you respond to that?" and "Senator Cruz, Mr. Trump thinks you are a liar, how do you feel about that?"
Even when the moderators are from Fox, they just want to fuel the bickering, as though they want to give the election to Hillary. :bang head::bang head::bang head:

It is 100% complete and utter BS.
While a politician is on the campaign trail they will pretty much say anything to rally their base and get themselves elected or re-elected. Politicians are historically good public speakers. They can craft their words elegantly and deliver them with apparent conviction but to what end? What qualifications do any of the candidates have to run the largest economy in the world? How about the qualifications for the 15th largest economy, or the 25th. Not a single one, save Trump has ever had to deal with the real bottom line. In government there is always more money. Just go back to the well and raise taxes, or borrow against future generations. Not one of these guys will be in office when the piper comes calling. They have zero accountability for the decisions they have made. Worse yet, they will be comfortably living, making their full salary for the rest of their lives. Trump is the only one, from either party who has had to look at a real bottom line, to ensure that he is on budget and his companies are making money.
As a public speaker he sucks. He comes off as inarticulate and harsh, however he did not get where he is today by being an idiot. His companies turn over millions of dollars in revenue dealing with real industries, not solely by brokering somebody else's money like a Bain Capital. Maybe this is all a ruse, and maybe he truly is playing us, but at this point with the choice being a socialist who's policies will bankrupt this country or a completely corrupt, morally bankrupt, habitual liar, I will roll the dice on him. At the very least I expect things to be different than what we have had in the last 20 years. I will gladly trade a good inauguration speech or state of the union address for some real responsible leadership.

I think it is high time that all of our government entities get a giant enema. I don't care if your are Republican, Democrat, or Independent. All of the career politicians need to be sent packing. Sever their retirement and make them earn a living like the rest of us. Get some fresh blood into government, people who come from industry, from finance, from places where there is accountability. Let them bring those values to Washington and let's get rid of the entire Legislative elite class. They have become nothing but a parasite on this country.

Without Trump in the running, Hillary steals the election. Then, expect old Billy boy Clinton to be nominated to the Supreme court. Trump can not possibly be as much an idiot as he comes across as being. He is a terrible politician. Hillary hasn't gone out of her way to alienate any sector of the voting public. I fear Hillary is going to eat Trump alive head to head. The minority will swarm to vote for Her. I won't!

Which Trump has done, in spades.
Which is why the GOP will only stand a fighting chance, if Trump is not the Republican candidate.
I think that Romney will run, if it's a contested convention. With his experience, together with Hillary's alleged dishonesty and prior screw-ups, I believe he would win over a lot of the Democratic voters, and a great deal of the trump supporters.
Just my opinion.
Cheers!

LOL....Miles you have to admit, American politics is more interesting than daytime soap operas like As the World turns....etc.

If Romney is the candidate coming out of a contested convention you might as well begin Hillary's coronation because that is what will happen.

Once that happens, we will never see another conservative president or administration in this country again. The 20M illegal immigrants will be granted citizenship, the borders will be officially open and millions more will be welcomed in. The balance will be forever tilted in favor of those that promise more to the FSA.
