Pig tail bracket

Can anyone tell me what this is for? Only guess I have is battery breather hose. Manual said it "must" go in original location but thinking of leaving it off.

You have it correctly labelled.

If you have a LI-Ion battery, you don't need it.

I was wrong, the fuel line from the tipover valve goes there. I found it in the manual’s appendix.

I forget about the Appendices often. I wish Clymer took the time to add those to their manual.
