Sure was. Always see something new. Some people are crazy. (Like the ones who throw huge tunnel rams and roll cages onto '76 Cutlasses...why?)

I like the circa 1951 Nash Rambler, it's a very-clean resto-mod. My oldest brother had a similar-lines Hudson Commodore 4-dr ('Doc' in the Pixar film Cars was the 2-dr coupe version) and I always admired that car. The VW bugs are home-built handfuls, I bet, on a wet street. Like the Ford Anglias and the FIAT Topolinos popular in the 1960's at the dragstrip. Not-much body weight, short wheelbases, narrow tracks: make-sure that your life insurance is paid-up!

Your white paint-job w/blue trim 'pops' on a cloudy, overcast day!

Same reason people stuff a V8 in a Luv crazy and want to.. LOL Speaking of the Luv now that the run is over the motor will be coming back out after I get my Dodge back from the transmission shop.

Uh Oh. Trouble in paradise? Or did the show give you the itch to make it really nasty?

It has been using a little oil and just did not run quite like I wanted it to anyway. I sold my old cam ,heads , torque converter and intake to my best friend. It will be be getting a good bit bigger cam , better flowing heads

It is using a little oil and have been wanting to do it for a while and slowly collecting parts. I have different Pistons a good bit bigger cam and some better flowing heads bigger torque converter and most likely going to a different intake to. I bought pistons and a torque converter that will hold up to nitrous in case I ever decide to go that route. It should be pretty grumpy sounding with this cam plus I have 1.6 rockers which will step it up a bit more .

Yo FM. Those fuelie heads were the cat's behind "back in the day". Pretty ho-hum by comparison with some of the designs available now. Especially in cast iron. I believe I've heard that you can find folks who actually make the old head designs in aluminum now. Still, I'm pretty sure some of the newer-flowing designs might be a better choice if nostalgia is not the objective. I acquired a set of double hump heads for a 400 small block 66 El Camino (daily driver) as recently as 10 years ago. Pretty anticlimactic.

My brother once worked at GM/Rochester Products, where/when that 'fuelie' system was manufactured. I was commenting upon the nostalgic value of old speed equipment, and wasn't suggesting 'go buy these.' If you're building something for restoration and it's important to have the correct equipment, to maximize the vehicle's value, then the vintage pieces with the correct dates come into-play. I don't own anything like that, but I once sold a GM 4-speed for decent $ because it was the correct date code for a '67 GTO.

I like the ~1965-'66 Chevy II Nova. Very-clean.

<Sniff> Every time I get to talking cars, it makes me think of my '70 Chevelle. Ex-wife got it. I was huge into Chevy's for a long time - cars and trucks - but that really took the wind out of my sales. Turned my focus back full time to motorcycles.

Not counting the '79 Firebird that fell into my lap a couple of years ago, and which I don't have the desire to do anything with. I can assure you that if it was a '69, it would be a VERY different story. Had an orange '69 Ram Air 400/4speed once.

Anyway, motorcycles are easier/cheaper to restore, and you can fit more of them into any given space. Not to mention slicing the wind has a certain allure that even a convertible cannot match.

...but I digress. (sorry).

32 five window. Good choice! It sports the ubiquitous Chevy small block but really needs a flathead...

A friend of mine, a Kawasaki dealer, had one for decades, but he decided to sell it, as it encouraged him, he claimed, to perform exhibitions of speed. Especially against much more modern cars.

That early '70's Trans Am is probably the most-capable car among the ones I've seen, to haul the mail safely, and having the handling to match.

I always sit and think of the things I let go years ago and would love to have kept...one really comes to mind was my '67 SS Camaro, 350, 4-speed Muncie, hideaways...gone but certainly not forgotten, I use to have a blast in that car back in the 70's...
