Quick tips for disassmbling post 1993 forks (just did it because I want to PC my lower tubes & seals are leaking)
  1. Leave the springs in under pressure...every shop I talked to does it this way
  2. Get an impact gun (air or electric)...I used a cheap Sears electric impact gun and it worked well
  3. Use a 3/8 hex bit. All the posts suggest creating a tool or buying a long hex bit to reach the deep bolts...I used a 3/8 stuby hex on a 3/8 extension with a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter - it fits and mine popped out just fine (these were never removed previously - bike is a 1995). The 3/8 hex bits can be purchased anywhere - cheap
  4. Like Sean points out in his video...pull down on the lower fork tube while removing the bolt...just ads more pressure to the bump stop thingy
  5. Worked swell for me...best of luck to you all
